Bus Storage
As a part of the Transbay Transit Center Project, two bus storage facilities, bounded by Second, Perry, Fourth and Stillman streets, will be built to house buses for AC Transit and Golden Gate Transit during weekday off-peak hours. Golden Gate Transit is designing and constructing the portion of the facility between Third and Fourth streets. The TJPA is designing and constructing the portion of the facility dedicated to AC Transit between Second and Third streets. Currently in the design phase, construction on the AC Transit site is scheduled to begin in 2012 with bus operations beginning in 2013. The project includes a bus ramp linking the AC Transit Bus Storage facility to the main ramps to the Transit Center.
